Making the most of pregnancy

No one fully prepares you for life as a new mum, you don't fully understand how different things will become once your new baby arrives. As a first time mum I am beginning to fully understand the meaning of being sleep deprived as well as accepting the idea that a three minute bath wash is the norm from now on.
It's funny how new mums, including me  beg for the time to go faster during pregnancy to meet the new arrival, but you soon come to realise like I have that you should have made the most of the time alone. Those long baths, the hours of sleep and even the time of just sitting down and relaxing.
To anyone reading this who is currently pregnant, don't ignore the advice from others telling you to make the most of the time you have now. I wish I listened when everyone told me, take a holiday, enjoy those long baths and endless time for cooking and going out, as once the baby comes the time for yourself disappears.

You will soon be a mum like me who regrets not making the most of the pregnancy before the new arrival, spend some time on yourself, or with your  partner. If you are anything like me and didn't listen to advice from others you will have faced a big shock once the baby arrived, I will admit I have cried a few times and felt like my life is over! However that isn't the case, the first few weeks will be like this with a newborn and your time will be consumed by changing nappies, feeding and holding your newborn.
But once a routine kicks in after a few weeks of them being born you will start to get more time back for yourself, you will be able to take a bath for longer than three minutes and you will be able to cook  more than just microwave meals!
